Edward Fabrizio is a well respected experienced actuary with over 25+ years in the life insurance sector. He has been involved in the pricing and development of life insurance products across retail, group, direct business and financial reinsurance. Majority of his career was spent in the reinsurance market in roles of pricing actuary, appointed actuary and managing director. In these roles he was responsible for the development of the pricing and products for numerous life insurance companies in Australia and New Zealand including relationship management and overall profitability of the business. More recently spent two years as a director in KPMG actuarial practice area before deciding to establish his own consultancy.
He has prepared numerous technical papers and presented widely both in Australia and overseas. Notable achievements include:
- Award winning co-authored paper on the Pricing of Dread Disease Insurance
- Graduation of the 2004-2008 Lump sum experience for the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
- Disability Income Experience reports for the New Zealand Society of Actuaries
- Numerous Presentations at conference both in Australia and Internationally covering issues and development in respect of life insurance products
- Assisting with establishment of 2 new life companies in Australia – a life reinsurer and a large superannuation fund
- Involvement in M&A due diligence activities
Edward has a Bachelor of Economics degree (Macquarie University), an MBA from Graduation School of Management (University of New South Wales & University of Sydney), is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
